PHILOSOPHY AND CULTURE AT A TURNING POINT: STUDIES AND MATERIALS FROM HISTORIOSOPHICAL RESEARCH
On the pages of this book we consider over a dozen threads from the history of philosophy, science, technology and culture, and on this basis formulate more general conclusions in each category, beyond the conventional limits of epochs and philosophical systems. This makes it possible to draw general speculative conclusions from the examined material, and allows more systemic reflection, which helps uncover in the individual topics further content hidden underneath the monographic analysis or issues visible only in a broader perspective of time and space. Such an analysis is an additional advantage of the previous work on specific issues. In addition, such considerations will be more philosophical than a mere presentation of a given problem and its source analysis.
Each chapter begins with the statement of a problem, followed by a discussion on the nature of the issues under consideration and the relevant historiosophical topics that can be addressed with regard to them. A given issue will be discussed at an appropriate level of generality, but always taking into account accurate historical information and details from a given field of knowledge necessary for unambiguous consideration of the issues raised. High methodological awareness, clarity of argumentation and terminological consistency should be the primary characteristics of this research.
