A PERSON IN TIME AND TIME IN A PERSON. THE PHENOMENON OF TIME BY EVDOKIYA MARCHENKO – „RADASTEYA”

„Radasteya” movement, since 2002 known as the Institute of Rhythmology (IRlEM), is one the most popular among New Religious Movements in contemporary Russia. Its founder, Evdokiya Marchenko (Luchezarnova), utilized notion of time as a central idea for her teaching about a person’s travelling to the life that is satisfactory in every aspect. The concept of time in books, TV programmes, online seminars, speeches, and cultural events created by Marchenko is the object of research in this paper. Systematization of the information about essence of time, its qualities, and time management by Marchenko is one of the purposes of this research. Investigations about mutual relations between a person’s prosperity and time are another goal. And last but not least, the reasons for popularity of the „Radasteya” movement as a cultural phenomenon would be revealed. It is worth mentioning that the concept of time is the main part of the anthropological concept proposed by Marchenko and, as such, is a central concept of culture.
