IDIOMS WITH AN EXPONENT ВРЕМЯ IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

This article addresses the category of time in phraseology. The research material was excerpted from contemporary phraseological dictionaries of the Russian language and the Dictionary of Modern Russian Literary Language in 17 Volumes and from the Russian Language Dictionary edited by S. Kuznetsov. The subject of the description in this article are Russian phraseologies with a component время. The lexical and semantic methodology was adopted, considering the cognitive method of profiling meanings. Profiling of meanings was done in the following categories: I. time as a line, II. time as a point on the line, III. time as a fulfillment, IV. time as space, V. time as dynamics, VI. time as wealth.
