THE BLOCKED WINDOW IN THE FORMER CHAPEL OF THE THREE KINGS IN THE DOMINICAN CHURCH IN CRACOW
The former Chapel of the Three Kings is a Gothic room situated against the northern elevation of the choir of the Dominican Church of the Holy Trinity and currently serves as the sacristy. Originally, it was accessible from the west, through the church’s north aisle, as well as from the north, via the cloister gallery, onto which it opened through three pointed-arch arcades. In the eastern bay of the chapel, in the northern wall of the choir, a small barred window is visible beneath the vault. Although now blocked, it originally provided acoustic communication between the choir and its northern annex. This annex could have served as a choir for the lay brothers or as a temporary nave for the faithful when the main body of the church was inaccessible due to construction work.
