TEACHER QUESTIONS IN POLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE LESSONS – QUANTITATIVE AND QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS
The aim of the article is to present a register of teacher questions in Polish as a foreign language lesson, their quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as an attempt to link the obtained research results with methodological assumptions. The analysis of the research material, including twelve 90-minute recordings (with transcripts) of Polish as a foreign language lessons conducted as part of the University of Łódź School of Polish for Foreigners, allowed for the development of a register of typical lecture questions and systematizing them in terms of form and content, and also according to the time of their occurrence (the organizational part or the main part of a lesson). The presented research is linguistic and teaching Polish as a foreign language, and at the same time they constitute a small part of the considerations on educational communication in the language class, which were initiated in 2010 for the needs of the doctoral dissertation.
