PRONUNCIATION VS. SPELLING – A QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE STUDY OF ERRORS FOUND IN TEXTS WRITTEN BY POLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS IN MULTINATIONAL GROUPS
The aim of this paper is to analyze spelling errors made by Polish language learners in multinational groups at level A1 (according to CEFR). The analysis comprised of 120 texts and included a total of 1047 errors, which were examined according to their frequency and arranged according to a classification. The analysis showed that a substantial part of the studied misspellings was motivated by perceptual and articulatory difficulties.
