„ŻYCZĘ ZDROWIA I CIERPIENIA...” (“I WISH YOU GOOD HEALTH AND SUFFERING…”). PRAGMATICS OF WISHES AND CONGRATULATIONS IN THE POLISH LANGUAGE OF YOUTH OF POLISH DESCENT IN UKRAINE

The author of the article analyzes the terms used to specify the Polish language used outside of Poland by people of Polish descent, as well as the results of a questionnaire survey carried out among young residents of Ukraine claiming Polish descent. The results reveal language and cultural characteristics of congratulations and wishes in their Polish. Particular attention is paid to the pragmatics of hybrid speech acts, combining various functions and content. Wishes and congratulation speech acts as well as the world of youth values that gets reflected in them are analyzed.
