Synopsis

WHO AM I? HUMAN BEING IN THE SYSTEMIC APPROACH

The essence of human existence is still a mystery. There is no unambiguous answer to the fundamental, philosophical question: Who am I? In this paper, the author will evaluate the answer to this question given by Ingarden’s ontology and show that this proposition can be regarded as bringing new aspects to this perennial problem of human existence. According to Ingarden’s ontology, human existence is perceived as a relatively isolated system. This systematic ontological approach together with the analysis the idea of human being gives very original results important for the general human enquires. The attempt to embed Ingarden’s position in the philosophical debate on human nature shows that his view on human being could be regarded as new and different from the existing ones on this subject.
