SUBJECT: БЕС ПРИЗОРНЫЕ – AN ATTEMPT TO DIAGNOSE HOMELESSNESS AMONG RUSSIAN CHILDREN

Undoubtedly, one of the legacies of the Soviet Union has been the problem of poverty affecting the Russian society for years. The problem of homelessness affecting the youngest citizens of the USSR was commonplace and at the same time hidden for years. The work attempts to diagnose the four waves of this phenomenon. The paper addresses the problem of Russian homelessness affecting the youngest citizens of the former Soviet Union, and the Russian Federation today. Undoubtedly, the first wave of беспризорность is the period after the October Revolution. The second wave of homelessness among children is the period after the Second World War, and the time immediately after the breakup of the USSR was diagnosed as the third wave. Today we observe the fourth wave of беспризорность affecting Russian children, but its factors and character are somewhat different.
