Author Biography

Kamil Sowa, Jagiellonian University in Kraków

Holds a master’s degree in international relations program at the Jagiellonian University and is a former deputy editor-in-chief of the journal ‘Arena. International Affairs’ (ISSN 1896-8511). He is an author of academic articles focused on plans for expanding the European security system, media freedom and independence in the context of competitive authoritarianism and Turkish nationalism. His research interests include European party systems with a particular emphasis on the role of the far left. Kamil was also a member of research projects such as Grant Estimating Party Positions in Spatial Voting Models, Communism – from Past to Present. Student Research on the Phenomenon of the Use of Communist Ideological and Political Legacies by Contemporary European Communist Parties and Changes in Contemporary Party Systems under the Influence of Crises.
