Synopsis

HISTORICAL AND SACRAL TIME WITHIN A CONTEMPORARY RUSSIAN FILM STRUCTURE. ZVYAGINTSEV – SOKUROV – BALABANOV

Cinema and history relations are marked with deep dramatic character and strong dynamics. Nowadays mass culture tumultuously promotes images of the past thus engaging history into a spectacular attraction. Whether Russian cinema films are made at present times as not only a chic decoration but as a matter worthy of artistic comprehension? Basic research for film time and film space are reported in the article given herein. The works of A. Zvyagintsev’s film Dislike, A. Sokurov’s Francophone, A. Balabanov’s Me too have been represented in this article. Sacral and historical time features inside the profound structures of the films have been proved.
