COOPERATION OF THE STRUCTURES OF THE HOME ARMY SILESIA AND KRAKOW DISTRICTS IN THE HOME ARMY OLKUSZ DISTRICTS
The incorporation of part of Olkusz County into the Third German Reich resulted in the creation of two Olkusz Districts in its area, belonging to the Kraków and Silesia Districts of the Home Army. Cooperation and coordination between subordinate structures and partisan units were carried out on the territory of the two districts from mid-1943 until the end of the German occupation. The article consists of fi ve parts. The fi rst part discusses the organization of transfer points on the border between the General Government and the Third German Reich. The second part presents the problem of material supply to partisan units temporarily residing in the Olkusz “Olga” Home Army District. The third part discusses the extraterritorial structures formed on the territory of the Olkusz “Olga” Home Army District. The fourth part presents examples of coordinating, planning and carrying out joint partisan actions. The fi fth part gives examples of ad hoc cooperation and cooperation forced by the situation. The article ends with conclusions and a summary.
