TEACHERS’ READING ACTIVITY IN LIGHT OF RESEARCH BY THE REGIONAL PEDAGOGICAL LIBRARY IN OPOLE

This paper outlines the activities undertaken by the Regional Pedagogical Library in Opole regarding the organization of readership research and the preparation of the 2024 report The State of Readership Among the Educational Community in the Opole Region. It presents the results of a survey conducted among teachers, alongside selected indicators of the reading attitudes within this professional group. These indicators encompass the extent of reading, reading preferences, underlying motivations for reading, and general opinions concerning professional obligations related to teaching reading and promoting a culture of reading among children and adolescents.
