Synopsis

Author Biography

Julia Tymczyszyn, Jagiellonian University in Kraków

Is an undergraduate student at the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland. She is currently working on her bachelor’s thesis on Housing programs for LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness in New York City and Warsaw and conducting a research project within Jagiellonian University’s Excellence Initiative on the same topic. She is also a member of the American Studies Student Association at the Jagiellonian University and the Polish Association for Canadian Studies. Her research interests include LGBTQ+ and women’s rights, as well as contemporary social problems like homelessness and poverty.
