Author Biography

JR Wikkerink, University of Victoria, Canada

Is a graduate of the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He grew up in Western Canada on farms in both Southern Alberta and Vancouver Island, British Columbia. JR was the founder of Screamin Brothers Allergen Friendly Frozen Desserts, a company he built into a national brand which was featured on CBC’s Dragons Den in 2014. Since selling the business, he was named a Killam Fellow through Fulbright Canada to study in the United States, was a student-athlete with the University of Victoria’s Vikes Rowing Team and travelled across Canada volunteering through the Katimavik Program. Most recently, JR has worked in Ottawa with the Government of Canada as a Student Analyst and in the Kyrgyz Republic as a Partnership and Project Proposal Development Fellow at the University of Central Asia.
