TWO CONCEPTS OF SLAVERY: A PRELIMINARY SURVEY
Soviet Communism introduced new, previously unknown forms of subjection. Humanists should never attempt to defend ancient slavery, however, considering the scale of cruelty and genocide, one cannot help the impression that the ancient slavery was a trifle in comparison with the Soviet one.
