IN SEARCH OF A NEW PARTNERSHIP – RELATIONS BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC

of Georgia and the Republic of Kazakhstan The aim of this chapter is to try to define the nature of the current relations between Georgia and Kazakhstan. Based on the analysis of the political position of the Georgian authorities, economic data and expert assessments, it can be stated that the relations between the two countries were characterized by a new, unprecedented dynamic. It was conditioned by political and economic factors, expressed by frequent political contacts and high economic turnover. From the perspective of the Georgian authorities, the partnership with Kazakhstan is perceived positively due to the alternative direction of development to the West.
