Synopsis

REVOLUTION OF 1917 IN RUSSIA AS A TIME FACTOR INFLUENCING EVERYDAY LIFE

On the basis of documents from the archives, the article shows that the revolutionary events in Russia in 1917 led to the transformation of not only the government system, but also the private life of citizens. The article reveals how the time of political and social changes influenced the daily life of citizens, their way of life, leisure, appearance, fashion, vocabulary. The changes in the culture of everyday life were promoted by: the desire to abandon the remnants of the bourgeois past and the desire to achieve radical changes as soon as possible in everything. The consequences of the revolution were changes in the housing conditions of citizens and the creation of “cohousing”. In matters of religion, not just educational or prohibitive measures were used, but sometimes cruel, merciless and violent, were organized campaigns to combat religion and the destruction of icons. The article analyzes the impact of the revolution on such a private side of life of each person as clothing and fashion. The political attitudes in the first years of the Soviet government did not contribute to the development of creative abilities, individuality, comprehensively developed, educated personality, but led to a stereotype and limited thinking, uniformity in attitudes, tastes, affections, hobbies and interests, to the domination of cliches and myths.
